if anyone still reads my blog im in grade 9 now a big diffrence from my last post bout 3 years ago haha but its still worth it i go to lourdes hill college now and ive got a new group with new friends and ive settled in quite well i miss all my teachers from sjv and my old group but i cant really go back now but all i wish is that i could go back for atleast a day and see everyone agian and see how we have all changed and grown i miss you all sjv and i hope you are all weell and btw nice new building at sjv guyz should go check em out ;)

Aunty Delmae

Aunty Delmae

Last week Aunty Delmae visited SJV. Last year we adopted Aunty Delmae as the tribal elder for our school. She is a descendant of the traditional owners of the land on which our school is built. She sang for us a welcoming song which was unlike any song we had ever heard. She explained that the song had no words or music but came from the images in her mind. Each time she sings the song it is different because it changes according to the images she sees.
Aunty Delmae explained that the images she sees are of the Australian bush and the animals that live there.
When we returned to class, we began to draw the images we saw when Aunty Delmae sang.

In school we have heaps of games to play thats why its so hard to pick which one to play at my school we play hide and go seek or soccer or football and 44 home

thats what most people play.At big lunch we have a big fort and a little fort that we can play on with sand around them . I normaly play things on the little fort like tigi playing on the slide or just sitting in the tunnel talking to friends.

In japanese we play some games that kids play in japan here are some pictures of the games we play at school and at japanese class.

In Mini Vinnies we are doing a Christmas project and by doing this we are helping the homeless people by giving them christmas presents we all had to buy gifts from the shop.Some people gave bratz dolls or robots or candals for the mums and mugs for the dads and then after we raped there presents we put them in bags and gave them to the rosies van and they will give them out to the homeless people

Hi every one it is almost the end of the year.
You are probably thinking that our class is going to stop working on our blog well I know I am not going to stop because I have put a lot of my time an effort into this blog and I wouldn't like to see it get flushed down the toilet.

This week 6J are going on a school camp with 5B. This camp is at the beach so we will be surfing and hopefully will see some whales passing by. We are also going to be building rafts and going canoeing. Here is the timetable for camp so our families will know what we are doing.

On the school holidays i did a lot of tiring things i had to play tenis with my mum and we played ten games
then i played with Isabel on the weekend and we went a little to crazy and broke a glass with wine in it and it went all over the carpet so i got most of the blame that i took because she is my friend then we went to Cabarita for a holiday and went to the beach and i just droped and fell asleep.

In my family we care about each other but I'm an only child but i don't ever get bored
i have two parents Lyn and David. I have three pets three fish Dotty,Freddi and Emma
and i have one bird which is called Elmo i have about twenty friends but you will here about them in a different post i have three grandparents but one of my grandads died when my mum was little it is so sad for me and my family. I have about fifteen cousins and they are really additive for me .

In maths today we did a coin flipping investigations

and after we write about the easy way of doing it

this is what i wrote.

To collect our data we wrote down head or tails but at the end we got tried of writing heads or tail so we changed to h for heads t for tails

and at the end we had trouble counting them up so we discovered that the easy way to count them was to Tally marks.

The Ekka is so much fun. I hope that any one who is going has a great time and I hope they be safe. I went last year so I'm not going again this year. The Ekka goes for nine days and there are rides, food, SHOW BAGS, displays and way way more. There is just so much there.

right now in class we are learning about Antarica for the past three weeks it
has been really fun. I learned that poler bears don't live in antarica they live in
the south and the north pole my favorite animal in the antaric would be

One of the books we have read so far is 'dragon keeper'. Well in this book Ping has lost Danzi's egg. Ping and Danzi has gotten kidnapped twice because everyone thinks that Ping is an evil sorceress. Ping and Danzi are heading for the ocean. Danzi can shape-change into an old man and a snake.

I think that last night was very spooky but good. I really liked everybodys speeches. The best speech I think was Ally being Cleopatra. I really liked how almost all of our parents attended. I think Mrs J put a lot of work into helping us write our role plays.

In my role play, I was a little girl. Now that I have done the role play I think I would like to go to Egypt and wee the things we have been learning about. Performing the role play was a great experience for me. Everybody dressed up and looked great but using the eye liner was really itchy.
