Reconciliation

Reconciliation

On Monday afternoon, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation with Father Des. Here are some questions we will ask ourselves to help prepare for the Sacrament.
Do I take for granted all I receive each day?Do I thank God for all I receive?
Do I thank my parents, caregivers, teachers, and others for how they help me?Do I tell or show my parents how I love them?
Do I listen to my parents and do what they ask of me both when I am with them and when I am not with them?Do I tell the truth about what I do?Do I stand up for what I believe or do I just follow the “in” thing?Do I say “no” to what I know to be wrong?
Do I try to understand when things go wrong, instead of making unnecessary fuss?Do I try to listen to others rather than insist selfishly on my way?Do I say sorry when I hurt someone?Do I forgive others when they hurt me?
Am I really trying to learn how to be generous?Do I include children who are lonely?Do I share my games and what I can with my family and especially with children who are left out?
Am I fair in how I play or do I bend the rules to suit myself or others?
Do I share my money with people in need?Do I share my time to help people?Do I take responsibility for my work and things each day? What do I do to care for our environment each day?
Do I care for my body by eating the right foods, and by getting the sleep and exercise my body needs? What do I do to listen to God speak to me each day? What do I do to thank God, to tell God my joys and my hurts, or to allow God to work through my life? What do I do to help others pray or to help them through my prayer?
